Dandy’s Dusty Bayle – Miller Ranch Trail Horse Training Completed

Dandy’s Dusty Bayle – Miller Ranch Trail Horse Training Completed

Dandy’s Dusty Bayle, a 6-year-old Missouri Fox Trotter gelding, has successfully completed his training as a reliable trail horse at the Miller Ranch in Arizona.

Bayle is a large-framed, calm and well-balanced Missouri Fox Trotter whose greatest qualities become especially apparent out on the trail.

During his training at the Miller Ranch, Bayle was systematically prepared for demanding trail situations — from obstacle work at the ranch to rocky and challenging terrain in the Sonoran Desert.

Our goal when training a Miller Ranch Trail Horse is to develop calmness, sure-footedness, trust and the ability of the horse to think and react safely even when the terrain becomes difficult.

Bayle demonstrates exactly these qualities. In rocky country he calmly evaluates the ground, carefully chooses where to place his feet and carries his rider safely and confidently over difficult terrain.

A special part of Bayle’s advanced training is Liberty riding. Bayle is also ridden in open terrain without a bit and without reins.

This is not intended as a show trick. It demonstrates the trust, communication and confidence that have developed between horse and rider throughout his training.

The new 3:40-minute trailer already shows Bayle being ridden completely at Liberty and gives a first impression of his calm temperament and finished level of training.

The complete video documentation of Bayle’s finished Miller Ranch Trail Horse training will be released within the next few days. It will show his work on the obstacle course as well as his performance in challenging open terrain in the Sonoran Desert.

Dandy’s Dusty Bayle represents the qualities we expect from a finished Missouri Fox Trotter trail horse:

calm, sure-footed, comfortable and trustworthy.
